Thank you to Hykel’s Bar and Grille for hosting our Linwood Park Happy Hour last Saturday and donating to the Friends! We made 325.00 PLUS Hykel’s owner, Joe Toogood, contributed an additional 125.00! Thanks to all who came out! Look for another Happy Hour in a few months! This money will buy shrubs, mulch,and giant pumpkins! We rely on local businesses and neighbors to keep the park beautiful!

SATURDAY OCTOBER 29TH AT 9 AM – Kid and Adult Birding Program with the Lower Merion Conservancy – Birding is a great activity for the entire family, but children and adults learn differently. Join us for a unique program that will run simultaneous birding programs for adults and kids! Delaware Valley Ornithology Club member and BirdWatch Volunteer, Gregg Gorton, will lead adults through the basics of birding and help identify some of the local birds that visit Linwood Park. Simultaneously, Conservancy Staff will teach children about our local birds and introduce them to the wonders of birding! FREE

SATURDAY OCTOBER 29TH STARTING AT 4:00 PM – Annual Jack O’ Lantern Carve and Light – Join us to watch Master Carvers Jason and Chris from Six:Eight Church carve art into giant pumpkins! You can also carve or paint your own small pumpkin. We will have some pumpkins donated by Acme and Trader Joe’s or bring your own! Or just stop by and enjoy some cider and ginger snaps. Watch as we light up the wall with Jack Os as darkness falls. Children that are using carving tools must be accompanied by and adult. FREE
